Customer Retention and Growth

Situation: Multi-housing communities during times of upswing in housing growth
are always challenged to retain good residents and market to new ones. Leading
managers understand that part of the retention solution includes making residents
feel a part of the community -- celebrating new residents and renewals, recognizing
birthdays and births, announcing community events, etc.

Results: We have worked with several multi-housing management companies to
create community newsletters that are requested, read and enjoyed by their
residents. We have helped educate them on how to make their newsletters more
meaningful to their residents. In addition our unique program offered the manager a
custom newsletter at a non-custom price. Our research and filler column choices
reduced the time their staff needed to participate in developing the newsletter --
giving the leasing staff more time to work with residents. The success of the Q2
Community News grew from a start-up idea to providing over 500 communities
custom newsletters on a monthly basis.

Recruitment  Collateral

Situation: A fire department was competing at events, schools and trade shows to
recruit the very best candidates to their program. The department needed collateral
material that stood out and set them apart from their competition. The typical
portfolio folder with inserts was what everyone else was using.

Results: We developed a smaller, odd-sized folder with full color design that could
be recognized as associated with the fire department from across the room. The
inserts the fire department had been using were reworked including full-color
photos showing existing fire personnel in all facets of the job. The brochure and
design proved so successful, the department continued to have the brochures
reprinted and used for five consecutive years.

E News Employs Latest In Technology

Situation: An organization had been using printed newsletters to reach out to its
membership on a regular basis. However, many of the recipients of the printed
newsletters were computer savvy and familiar with receiving e-mail announcements
on events and objectives for the organization. The organization wanted to make it
easier for its membership to get news about the organization and to update its
technology footprint.

Results: We developed an e-newsletter template for the organization, trained its
personnel on how to update and use the template and showed how it worked with
e-mail to reach out to its membership.
